Hiking
Includes trail-snack, daypack and water. Four levels of hiking,
easy, moderate, advanced and iron-person fitness are offered.
Nature Walk
Includes trail-snack, daypack and water. The emphasis on this
tour is the great diversity of natural history in the Tucson
Basin and the Sonoran Desert. We offer an Easy, Moderate and
Advanced walk.
Sunset Stroll
Includes trail snack, daypack and water, and flashlights. The
emphasis on this tour is the flora and fauna and our beautiful
Sonoran Sunset. This may be combined with an "Owl
Prowl" (the Great-horned, Western Screech and Elf Owl are
common.) With a full moon, this tour may be extended into a
romantic "Desert by Moonlight" adventure.
Introduction to Bird-watching
With an expert guide, treat yourself to an educational
Audubon-type early morning or evening adventure. Includes
binoculars, if needed, trail-snack, daypack and water. A spotting
scope is used for all adventures to insure everyone gets a chance
to really see the bird. Whether you are looking for that one
specialty bird or just want a chance to see the birds indigenous
to this area, this adventure is designed for you.
Children's Nature Study
Adventures designed specifically for children ages 4 to 13
introduces young adventurers to the natural world. Learn about
the critters who live in the desert and how they have adapted.
Each small daypack includes a fishnet, a gathering jar, hand lens
and a magnet and trail-snacks and water.
Walking Tours
A walk on the tamer side experiencing Archeology Tours,
Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Barrio Historical, Biosphere II,
DeGrazia Gallery, the ghost towns of Southern Arizona, Historic
Downtown Tucson, Sabino Canyon, San Xavier Mission, Titan Missile
Museum, and Tubac. Please ask if there is something you would
like to see that is not listed. Entrance Fees not included.
Each adventure is based on a minimum of three hours.
$20 per hour for the first person, plus $5 for each additional
person.
